What is an ERP and what is it for?

The goal of ERP systems is to integrate departments. Where before we had a specialized program for each one, now we can ensure the existence of a single centralized database where information is managed in real time and efficiently.
In this way, ERPs are usually made up of different modules , corresponding to each department. The most common components are purchasing, sales, inventory, logistics, billing, accounting, human resources (HR) Business Central and CRM ( Customer Relationship Management ).
